Development Meeting – 3307-3313 Ellesmere Road

Dear Community Members,

On behalf of the Highland Creek Community Association (HCCA), I am writing to you to ensure you are aware of the proposed development very near to you. This very much directly impacts houses on Norvalley Court, Mirrow Court, Military Trail and Ellesmere Road.

By now, you should have also received a letter from the City advising of this proposal and also of the Community Consultation Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 13th (details below). It is important that you attend, become informed as to what is happening and to share any concerns you may have regarding the development.

What is proposed:

• Existing 2 houses/properties at 3307 and 3313 to be demolished,
• 1, 11-storey rental building constructed on the properties,
• Building to be marketed primarily to students,
• This is not connected or part of the University and they are not involved.

How are you impacted, depending on where your house is located on the aforementioned streets:

• Significant overlook to the neighbouring properties,
• Lack of, or zero, privacy, especially in backyards,
• Significant shadowing of properties with some receiving no sunlight primarily in the summertime.
